Fard As-Salat

Types of sentences
Sentences can be classified into four categories of obligation: Fard, wajib, sunnah, and nafl
Fard
Fard (in Arabic: فرض) also Faridah (in Arabic: فريضة) is an Islamic term that means a religious duty. The word is also used in Persian, Turkish and Urdu (written Farz) in the same sense.
Fard or its synonym wajib is one of the five types of Ahkam in which Fiqh classifies the acts of all Muslims. The Fiqh Hanafi however makes a distinction between Wajib and Fard, the latter being obligatory and necessary the former simply. In Indonesia, wajib also means obligatory, since the word is derived from Arabic.
individual rights and sufficiency The Fiqh distinguishes two types of functions: Individual rights or Fard al-ayn (in Arabic: الفرض العين) refers to tasks required to perform all Muslims, such as daily prayer (Salah) , the hijab, or the pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in life (hajj). Duty of sufficiency or Fard al-kifaya (Arabic: الفرض الكفاية) is a duty imposed on the whole community of believers (umma). The classic example that is funeral: the individual is not required to perform, as long as a sufficient number of community members comply with it.
Fard As-Salat
Fard as-Salat are the five obligatory daily prayers, the Friday prayer (Friday community prayer), and the funeral prayer (Janazah). Breach of Fard as-salat makes an agreement with a non-Muslim to the Sunni Hanbali school, while for the other Sunni schools that makes a sinner. The denial of its obligatory status, however, is something accepted by all Sunni schools to make the denier out of Islam. Fard prayers (as with all fard actions) are more classified as Fard al-ayn (obligation of the car) and Fard al-kifayah (sufficiency obligation). Fard al-ayn are those actions that are obligatory for each individual, he or she will be carried out to take into account if the actions are not carried out.

Men are required to perform the Fard salah in congregation (jamaa'ah), behind an imam when they are capable. According to most Islamic scholars, performing congregational prayers is mandatory for men, when they are capable, but it is neither mandatory nor prohibited for women.
